At Tates Creek High School, he finished as the school’s second all-time leading scorer, was a two-time All-State selection, three-time All-City selection, the 2004 All-11th Region and 43rd District MVP, and a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
He began college at Tennessee Tech University before transferring to Georgetown College. In two seasons at Georgetown, he won two conference championships. His senior team completed an undefeated regular season, reached No. 1 nationally, advanced to the national tournament Final Four, and finished 35-1. He graduated from Georgetown in 2008 with a bachelor’s degree in digital media.
Justin then played professionally in Portugal and Canada and competed in two world tournaments in Beijing, China, where he played alongside Paul Pierce and Michael Beasley. His professional career included All-Star and Newcomer of the Year honors in leagues including the ABA, CBL and CBA. He later became an assistant coach at Transylvania University.
