BAB Ohio Basketball

BAB Ohio continues to build a strong presence in Northeast Ohio, providing athletes with opportunities to develop, compete, and represent the BAB Sportz standard.

Our Ohio basketball program currently features 10 teams, led by coaches committed to player development, accountability, and creating a competitive environment for our athletes. Of those 10 teams, one competes on the national UA circuit, giving our players the opportunity to test themselves against high-level competition and gain exposure beyond the local level.

From our developmental teams to our circuit program, BAB Ohio is focused on building athletes the right way, developing their game, preparing them for the next level, and creating a culture they are proud to represent.

Assistant Director

Alphonso Baity II

  • Alphonso Baity II brings a strong combination of collegiate playing experience and seven years of coaching, training, and athlete development to BAB Sportz.
  • Baity competed collegiately at the University of Findlay and Walsh University, establishing himself as a productive two-way guard. During his time at Findlay, he became a full-time starter and earned GLIAC All-Defensive Team honors, demonstrating the toughness, discipline, and defensive mentality that continue to influence his approach to the game today.
  • Following his playing career, Alphonso transitioned his experience into developing the next generation of athletes. Over the past seven years, he has dedicated himself to coaching, training, and mentoring young players, helping them strengthen their fundamentals, basketball IQ, footwork, ball handling, shooting, defensive technique, decision-making, and confidence.
  • As Assistant Director of BAB Sportz, Alphonso plays an important role in both athlete development and the continued growth of the organization. His experience allows him to connect with players while also understanding the preparation, discipline, accountability, and consistency required to compete at a high level.
  • Alphonso’s philosophy aligns directly with the mission of BAB Sportz: meet athletes where they are, challenge them to improve, and provide the coaching, mentorship, and opportunities necessary to help them reach their potential.
  • His leadership helps ensure that as BAB Sportz continues to grow, the standard of development, accountability, and genuine investment in young athletes grows with it.
