Justin Taylor brings an accomplished basketball background and extensive experience in player development to BAB Sportz. A standout at Tates Creek High School, Taylor finished his career as the program’s second all-time leading scorer, earning two All-State selections, three All-City honors, and recognition as a McDonald’s All-American nominee.
After beginning his collegiate career at Tennessee Tech University, Taylor transferred to Georgetown College, where he helped capture two conference championships. During his senior season, Georgetown finished the regular season undefeated, reached No. 1 in the national rankings, advanced to the National Tournament Final Four, and finished the year 35-1.
Taylor went on to play professionally in Portugal and Canada and competed in international tournaments in Beijing, China, including playing alongside NBA stars Paul Pierce and Michael Beasley. His professional career included multiple All-Star honors and Newcomer of the Year awards across several leagues.
Taylor later transitioned into coaching, including serving as an assistant coach at Transylvania University, and has continued developing athletes through Evolve 2 Perform. As Director of BAB East, he brings his experience as a player, professional, coach, and mentor to building opportunities for athletes throughout Lexington, Eastern Kentucky, and beyond.
